100% Clean Energy
This identifies the origin of electric energy from renewable sources based on the definitions called out in current laws. Through its consumption, our company finances electricity produced using renewable sources, proving our commitment to the environment. Clean energy comes from large hydroelectric power plants in the Dolomite Mountains, in particular from the Taio hydroelectric plant in Val di Non (Province of Trento). The energy produced by the power plant in S. Giustina allows us to avoid the production of 111 thousand tons of carbon dioxide. The dam is an artificial reservoir capable of holding up to 183 million cubic meters of water. The power plant at the base of the dam is a “mini-hydro” plant, which is a power plant that produces up to 3 MW of electricity, usually used for power plants in flowing waters. This power plant produces energy using a vertical axis “Francis” turbine.
The production of clean energy avoids the emission of CO2 in atmosphere. We are proud to say that the amounts of CO2 avoided in 2013were:
